Myself Alexander Jaiboy, a hardworking and self-motivated individual. I have finished my masters in embedded microelectronics and wireless systems from Coventry university. Interested in developing engineering marvels in the field of automation and robotics.

I will be showcasing a semi-autonomous robot with obstacle detection functionality using image processing techniques. It is an attempt to showcase the implementation of automation based on image processing in the field of robotics. The project was awarded second prize during The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) award evening held at Warwick University, UK on March 8th 2017.
The project is based on ARM based STM32F7 board interfaced with the DC motors and Opto-reflective sensors to form the line follower robot. The most important aspect of the project of detecting and classifying the objects is done by interfacing OV7670 camera to STM32F7 and implementing image processing algorithms in its firmware. The project involves additional hardware complexities of design a multi-layer robot structure, PCB manufacturing, 3D printing. The Firmware of the project involves route navigation algorithm, Obstacle detection and Image processing algorithm for the robot.
